Hermann Historica – November Auction 2019

Hermann Historica’s 80th Auction in November of 2019 Will be our first auction in our new premises in Grasbrunn near Munich. A brand-new setting in large and friendly rooms, well-lit, will enable us to showcase almost 9.000 items coming up in our large auction, comprising of 12 catalogues and stretching over 11 days. Of course we will cover for you our traditional topics, Arms & Armour, Guns of five Centuries, Militaria and Contemporary German History. Well worth mentioning is a private collection from Southern France, a late equivalent to the „Cabinets of Curiosities“ as they emerged in the 16th century, presenting amongst others Limoges enamel, Persian Arms & Armour, German and French swords and blades. For the avid collector of japanese swords we proudly present
an amazing collection of Tsubas, containing a large number of skilfully crafted, lavishly decorated sword guards of the finest quality available. Another first is a new category, presented in a new catalogue, „Art and Antiques“. This catalogue will present to you an array of works of art from the 16th to the 19th century, amongst which ancient stone Buddha heads, marble sculptures from the Roman Empire, and many other objects in excellent quality, that are hard to find. Here to my right I would like to present to you a group of 32 splendidly preserved rifles, from the Royal Armoury of Hanover, While to my left you can see a finely crafted cabinet from one of Amsterdam’s best cabinet makers.
